PE1PSA on-line IPP540 data-file converter
Welcome to the on-line IPP540 data converter of PE1PSA!
Hints and tips
Known bugs / limitations
Disclaimer; the small print
With this on-line tool you can convert your data files, produced by the IPP540 program, into a real
working hex-data or Intel formatted EPROM file which can be fed to you EPROM programmer.
The usage is quite simple: just download and run the IPP540 program, produce a "DAT" file and
upload it to my tool.
My tool will convert it into a suitable ".BIN" or ".INT" file and will send it to your e-mail address as an attachment.
Open this file into the EPROM burn program of your EPROM programmer, insert an empty EPROM
into the programmer and start the programming...
When the programming is done, place the EPROM into your Condor Standard and enjoy.
Note: Your rig may need some re-adjustments (in Dutch) in the PLL and filter-sections before it'll work perfect.
You can start the converting process by pressing the image above or by pressing

Some hints and tips for the IPP540 program:
- Press the F1 button to learn all the options!
- You can have a single 1750 Hz tone under the "A" and/or "B" buttons
by entering only a single "H" in the code field.
- You can use variable tones for the "A" and/or "B" buttons.
Use one or two "V" characters in the ZVEI code field.
- You can adjust tones between 300-3000 Hz for the "A" & "B" buttons;
by pressing F4 and selecting your own desired frequencies.
- Make sure you have the right "options-board" if you want to use CTCSS.
- Carefully check all entries before saving a data-file; some options only allow
limited usage by default, like maximum TX and RX time and the way calls are handled.
Known limitations / bugs:
- After the conversion is successfull, a separate window pops up with a "Print-out" of the dat-file.
Sometimes the frequencies stated in this print-out are not correct.
This is just a bug in the frequency calculation (from the PLL divider values) in my script;
the resulting EPROM-dump will be correct, so don't worry.
- It seems that some browsers (like my IE 5) do not always upload the DAT file correctly.
You'll get some error stating that the file-type is not correct or that there was an
error in the CRC value.
If you experience this problem, you may send that file to me and I'll convert it for you manually.
